Ask any quilter what they love about “being a quilter” and one of the reasons is likely to be the sense of community. Quilters of all ages, sizes, backgrounds and experience levels love to gather to share the experience of being “makers”. Nowhere is that more apparent than with our excitement over a quilt-along.
To celebrate our community of quilters, we’ve built a neighborhood. Welcome to the Moda’hood!
(This Moda’hood is very Grungey! It’s made using only Grunge fabrics by Basic Grey.)
Starting September 5th, 2016 – we are sharing block patterns for you to download and use.
On September 5, we will begin posting the 16 separate “blueprints” – free downloadable block patterns. Blueprints will be posted on our website weekly through December 19th.
The blueprints will be rendered in gray-scale to allow everyone to color their neighborhood using a wide variety of fabric and color choices.
- There are 16 blocks in the quilt top. The rows are separated by horizontal sashing strips.
- These are very scrappy blocks so exact yardage for a set number of fabrics has not been calculated. Mix your favorite Moda prints to create your colorful neighborhood!
Row by Row is ending September 6, 2016 to collect the free patterns. You have until October 31, 2016 to submit a quilt for a prize. We still have kits for our row and license plates still available. The license plates are available for purchase on our website. Kits are only available in the store.
